BACKUP SYSTEM

The presentation will discuss important aspects of BACKUP SYSTEM as a good alternative way of making copies especially in busy sites. Attendees will be able to get information about general idea behind this concept, configuration, incremental SLB and what is new in DB2 12. At the end of the first part of the presentation delivered by Jacek Rafalak Principal Product Owner for Backup & Recovery we will be talking about RESTORE SYSTEM. Second part of the presentation will be delivered by Michael Kalous (Principal Architect of CA Backup & Recovery DB2 Tools) and will focus on technical aspects of System-level backup usage, such as SLB registration in BSDS, recovery of individual database objects from SLB, HSM commands used for recovery, using START_RBA and PIT_RBA of the SLBs.
